Latest model finished is this Blackstone HOn3 locomotive, part of an ongoing project for a friend and local modeler. This guy was done with grimy black acrylic paint, rust colored paint for the couplers, and Monroe Models soot powder for what else, the soot effect!

I just acquired this well detailed Rapido Evans X72 boxcar lettered for Penn Central. This car and my recent P&LE car will be my two “cleanest” cars, in other words very lightly weathered. You have to have a few clean cars on the railroad!

Another boxcar joins the fleet, this one off eBay as well. I thought this car was weathered very nicely. After I received it, I simply weathered the bottom of the car, rusted the brake wheel, and applied lube stencils. It has now joined my fleet!

Here is the latest car finished, a Walther’s car I believe. Car sides, ends, roof, and underside are all lightly weathered with primarily a dirt colored overspray with some spots of rust here and there. New wheels and Kadee couplers were installed as well. Soon to go on eBay….
