Project just started today, and progress so far. This Scale Trains car already has four different weathering mediums on it, including acrylic paint, rust texture, washes, and powder. When finished this will go up on the eBay store. Photos below of the car in the box and as of tonight:

Another project finished! This one just went up on eBay today. One of a kind special edition car made by Rapido for the Colorado Model Railroad Museum in Greeley, Colorado. The car was weathered with six different weathering mediums. Here’s a look at the finished model:

Here I’ve started on the Rapido boxcar. So far I’ve applied acrylic paint to dirty up the car a bit, applied several mediums to the doors then took most back off leaving this effect, and applied a dirt colored powder down the sides. Here is how the car looked again…

This guy is now finished, well, almost! After applying the decals, I’ll be lightly spraying a dirt color over the car plus a little light gray over the frame sill, then a final seal. Here’s the car this morning:
