I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. This car is another project recently completed, this Athearn 50′ ft Evergreen boxcar purchased off eBay. Prototype car is shown what I tried to replicate along with what the car looked like out of the box plus photos of work along the way winding up with the finished product. Multiple mediums were used on the guy along with decals from Smokebox Graphics:
