One final detail I added to the layout this evening was the addition to the guy wire for the pole line. You see these everywhere where there are what I call guy wires or support wires for a pole line of wires, I assume as a warning to pedestrians or whoever might get tangled up in these.
For this quick project I took 3/32″ tube by Evergreen, cut a piece off to hopefully what I think was near scale, then used some surgical scissors to cut down the middle of the tube. I then took a thin file and kind of enlarged the cut all the way down so as to just be able to slide the tubing over the EZ Line that I used. The final step was to airbrush this using Vallejo yellow ochre paint, then seal. Here’s the finished result:
