Well, it’s been awhile since I’ve been on the railroad as I’ve been on vacation. My first day back with the crew of Charlie, Jimmy, Fred, and Dan as we’re going to work all the industries on first trick today except for McGraw fuel and oil and Monsanto.
After we fire up 8806 we first pull the empty EL reefer and loaded L&N boxcar from Armitage over to the team track, then pull out onto the main to couple up to the loaded Southern reefer, then spot it at Stephen’s Grocery:
Next, we’re going to spot the loaded PC boxcar at Armitage, then move over to the team track and couple the cut up to the empty P& LE boxcar, then pull all of these out on the lead:
In the meantime, the local’s crew with 5628 is picking up two gons from Sullivan scrap and replacing these with two gondolas including a Sullivan scrap bathtub gondola:
Finally, we’re out on the main coupling up to the loaded Milwaukee Road boxcar headed for the team track dock, and spot this guy:
And, to end our work for now, we shove all the out bound cars up against the caboose on the local:
