The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. My fees and hours are on the "contact me" tab.

Another huge thank you…!

I have to post another huge thank you to the current modelers who have all recently sent me more models to weather. These three current projects are all from repeat modelers who have entrusted me once again to weather their property. Notice I don’t say “clients” as I consider all who entrust me to weather their models as friends and fellow modelers.

I also appreciate the other modelers who have more work lined up for me this coming month and next, plus all who have sent me inquiries. I also appreciate all the patience this past month as I had to work through a twice broken airbrush plus some supplies needed that had to be backordered. Not to mention most recently being out of commission for three days due to a food borne illness. Fortunately these backordered items are now available! More fortunate is I’m back at full strength!

Finally, I’ve had several inquiries to do locomotive weathering which I’ve declined for these reasons, the main reason being with today’s models being so highly detailed they’re also very very delicate to handle, with much more time being invested into handling and masking off areas. For now I will only be doing rolling stock….
