The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. My fees and hours are on the "contact me" tab.

Working the industries….

Today our crew is myself, Charlie, and Jimmy again as we start working the local industries. Grabbing our coffees we head over to our old gal 8806 and fire her up. Today we’re working again in conjunction with the crew on 5628 as they will switch out Sullivan scrap, while we switch the team track, Stephen’s Grocery distributors and Armitage Furniture. Photos of our work today follow below:

Even though the photos are somewhat out of sequence what we wound up doing was first pulling the caboose off the local, then pulling the EL reefer and PC boxcar before spotting the Southern boxcar at Stephen’s and the Evergreen boxcar at the team track. We finished up by spotting a tank car of fuel oil at McGraw fuel and oil. While we were working these, the crew on 5628 were pulling two gons from Sullivan and spotting two. Stay tuned as next time we’ll be working Monsanto again….
