The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. Another day on the Penn Central…

Another work day as our crew along with the help of the local crew on GP7 5628, gets to work switching the industrial area in Sedamsville and Addyston.

Today our crew is myself as brakeman, Jimmy as conductor, and Fred as engineer as we fire up 8806. Today we need to pull an empty reefer from Stephen’s and an empty Cotton Belt boxcar from the team track, while the crew on 5628 will pull two scrap gons from Sullivan scrap and spot two.

Our inbound cars are an all door boxcar of lumber for Armitage Furniture, an EEC boxcar for the team track, and a PC reefer for Stephen’s. Photos below show our part of the switching work:
