The Weathering Depot

Today we switch out Monsanto during first trick. Gathering up our coffee thermoses Charlie, Dan, and I head over to our regular locomotive 8806 and fire her up.

Today we’re also taking the two empty tank cars out of McGraw fuel and oil. The local with GP7 5628 has come caboose light out of Riverside yard to pick up our outbound cars. First order of business is pulling these empties out of McGraw:

After we tie these on to the local’s caboose we go to work pulling tank cars off Monsanto’s loading/unloading track as seen below:

Finally, we finish up by moving the tank cars over from the holding track:

There are no inbound cars today as Monsanto is ready to shut down for two weeks for yearly maintenance on their complex. Stay tuned for more switching sessions soon…..
