The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. Updated weathering….!

I didn’t quite like all the weathering done on the ex-BN covered hopper I previously posted, so I added a bit more! I patched out the Burlington Northern roadname , one side with paint, and one side with patch out decals by Smokebox Graphics.. I then lightly sprayed some rust paint over these to blend these in. I then applied the brass ACI plates from Atlas and rusted these over to show these were long since out of use. After adding a few more rust spots I did a final seal and here’s the results below. This one is currently on my eBay store!
