I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. I think I may have mentioned my other rail related hobby is rail photography, where i derive my prototype photos from for weathering. I’ve been taking photos for decades, and still do today when I have the chance. I miss the old days however of varied types of locomotives, various eras of freight cars, cabooses, and simply just more trains and railroaders. Today’s railroads seem so homogenized and standardized. Here below are some of my collection from years past…..
