More commission work….
More commission work has arrived, five cars from one modeler and ten cars from another modeler! Always looking for weathering work to do, and nothing satisfies me more than helping a modeler and making them happy with a weathered model… Continue reading

New project….
Here is the current project I’m working on instead of the BAR boxcar posted previously. I had a short break in between commission work, so decided to whip this guy out pretty quick. This is one of the Tangent X58 boxcars that are now pretty scarce, especially this PRR scheme. Here’s current progress: Continue reading

This week on the layout….
This week’s photos shows the entire current layout, the Cincinnati Terminal subdivision. Shows what a modeler can do with limited space on a shelf layout, as my layout is only 2’ ft wide by 8’ ft long! You really don’t need a basement size double deck layout to have fun..,, Continue reading

In this post I’ll talk about what it took to modify the two modules on the current layout. The longest module is part of the previous Nitro, West Virginia module where tracks went into the chemical plant, scrapyard, and bakery. The shortest module was on the other side of the old layout that connected the… Continue reading

More from the layout part 2…
With a move to a different place in 2022 that has an internal garage, I obviously lost the space for my layout, now only having a separate den for both a layout and workshop. In measuring the dimensions I found I could use two modules from my layout in one side of my den. I… Continue reading

More from the layout part 1…
Today I thought I’d post more about the current small switching layout I have, remnants of my larger, around the wall garage layout based on the NYC/PC/CR Hitop branch in the mountains of West Virginia. The original layout was a 4×8 based on Model Railroader magazine’s Virginian layout back in 2012. My version of the… Continue reading
