I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. In between coats of sealant and layers of weathering on the current project, I’ve been adding more weathering to areas on the layout to attempt to make it even more of a grimy 1970’s industrial area. Hopefully I’m succeeding so far.
Today I’ve added some industrial dirt from Arizona Rock and Mineral to more areas of Monsanto Chemical, plus added quite a bit of weathering to the old New York Central trailer including its rusted roof. Can you tell I love rust!
