I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Yesterday was another work day on the local, this time working several hot cars needed by Monsanto Chemical. This trip consisted of Charlie as engineer, myself as brakeman, and Jimmy as conductor.
We need to switch out two empty tanks for a loaded tank car and a loaded covered hopper of chemicals. Photos below show our work progress yesterday:
