The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. Playing with AI in model railroading….

After watching an informative video done by the New England Industrial Division layout on YouTube about embracing and using AI in model railroading, I decided on this post this evening.

I’ve used AI already to produce the signs you see for Armitage Furniture and Monsanto Chemical:

These were both produced by an AI program then saved, taken to a local FedEx store where they were scaled down and printed on very thin cardstock for my actual sign boards.

I’ve also used AI of course for photos of special effects on the layout such as these below:

AI again can be used to produce ideas as far as weathering as well, taking for example the difference between the actual current look on the layout vs enhanced weathering possibilities!:

Just a few of the many ways to use AI on your layout….!
