The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. Prototype tools I use….

Just two of the prototype items I use on the layout, including a PC Southern Region timetable. Useful tools anyone can use to run their layout in a more prototypical manner. I use copies of the actual PC switch list during an operating session.

Time can be a factor as well in running a layout more prototypical. Give those few extra seconds for your locomotive to start up, for your crew to get aboard. Take a few seconds for that brakeman to throw that switch or derail. Give time for that air brake pressure to build up in the train line. Just more ways to run like the prototype….
