The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. My fees and hours are on the "contact me" tab.

Back at it on the railroad….

Well, another shift back on the railroad, this time first trick. Today it’s Charlie, Jimmy and I handling the switching.

Today we’re switching cars into Sullivan scrap, Armitage Furniture, the team track, and Stephen’s Grocery distributors. Another local out of Riverside dropped off these cars to us overnight.

Today we’re switching two gons into Sullivan scrap as shown below:

The other cars dropped off were a C&O reefer, a Southern boxcar for Armitage Furniture, and a NSL boxcar for the team track:

With Charlie today as engineer, myself as brakeman and Jimmy as conductor we’re hard at work pulling empties as well from these same industries:

We also had orders to pull the empty Gulf oil tank car out of McGraw fuel and oil:

Below we start spotting the rest of our inbound loads:

Finishing up, we park 8806 and head to lunch:

Stay tuned for more!
