I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. My fees and hours are on the "contact me" tab.
The weathered old geep….
Just a short post today showing a bit of the weathering on my old standby, GP7 5628. Unfortunately the photo doesn’t show the rust on the cab roof. Looks like the old gal has been sideswiped at one time looking at that handrail stanchion! This locomotive is absolutely still my best locomotive, almost twenty years old i believe, manufactured by Atlas with a Kato drive, DCC and sound….
Welcome to my site! I’ve been a model railroader since the age of 14, and a railfan all my life! I’m retired now but have traveled all over on both Amtrak and tourist railroads plus steam excursions. My layouts have been published twice, and I started weathering work in 2009. I have also worked for a regional railroad in the past as first a brakeman/conductor then track inspector. Hope you enjoy the journey with me on my website!
