The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. A load for Marsh and Truman….

Today’s an off day from the railroad but being from the local area, I’m down at the diner eating lunch when I notice our other crew has delivered a little unusual car to the team track.

It turns out a local area building supply/lumber company out along River Road named Marsh and Truman Lumber has started getting railcars at the team track to be offloaded onto trucks. Here I caught a crew working on unloading the rest of this Soo Iine bulkhead flat. Apparently in talking to the crew they’re awaiting another flatbed from the lumber company to finish the work:
