The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. My fees and hours are on the "contact me" tab.

Switching at dusk….

It’s dusk in Cincinnati along the Ohio River as we’re working several industries.  First up we watch the local crew from Riverside bring in one gondola for Sullivan scrap and an N&W insulated boxcar for Stephen’s Grocery.  This crew first shoves the boxcar down against us in 8806, then spots the gondola:

Fred, Jimmy, and I then get to work as we have to pull the empty Milwaukee boxcar from Stephen’s to spot the loaded N&W insulated boxcar.  The empty Milwaukee car will go in the off spot position on the team track siding for now:

That was all for now.  Stay tuned as we work Monsanto Chemical next, which will be after dusk at night….
