The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. More commission work…!

I’ve just received ten HO scale covered hoppers to weather for a modeler back east. Always a great feeling to have someone appreciate my work and send me multiple cars to weather! I’m always looking for work to do for modelers around the country as well. One, it gives me pleasure not only because I enjoy weathering, but it pleases me that I can help other modelers with some form of their layout. Two, it also keeps me out of trouble and out of my wife’s hair when I’m closed up inside my workshop! lol….😂
