The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. Backdrops added….!

Although I posted this on the layout website, I thought I’d share this here on The Weathering Depot site as well. Yesterday I was able to purchase two beautiful photo backdrops made by Realistic Backgrounds.

These were installed yesterday directly to the plain white wall behind the layout with Velcro strips and I must say they make all the difference in the layout! Take a look at the photos below and I think you’ll agree, especially the photo showing the plant behind the scrapyard! The view makes it appear as one huge complex.
