Sorry for the lack of posting recently but I took a break during the holidays. Now back at it with these updates. I’ve been busy at work on the second module. First off, I ordered two pre-built and weathered Walther’s buildings, their McGraw Oil dealer to be used as a fuel and gasoline dealer, and their grocery distributor. Photos below of these in place:

Again, where the PC caboose is sitting in the photo above will be a team track using a loading dock and ramp from Blair Line.
I then started scenery work to cover up the old roadbed with either gravel or weeds. I think I was pretty successful and happy with the outcome so far. The weeds addition included around Armitage Furniture where I also switched their roll of dumpster position to give more room in their loading area. Photos below of this work:

Next up came a lot of little details such as weathered ductwork on the grocery distributor roof, a lot of signs, fruit and vegetable crates plus forklifts on the grocery dock, plus people here and about. Period vehicles were also added. An addition to the front of the module where heavy weeds covered the old roadbed was the assorted junk and rusted abandoned car. Photos below of these details:

Other details were added as well from the old layout: two extra black tanks were added to the fuel dealer plus extra unloading stands with hoses with an extra connector hose on the ground, plus a Sohio gasoline tanker truck. Finished off with a section of barbed wire fence that will wrap around part of the left hand building. Photos here:

Eventually the main grey painted berm will be covered with dirt as they are in the chemical plant. Finally, one wooden grade crossing was installed temporarily, as I need to add some more yard mix ballast if and when I can obtain some. Another reason I’ve held off on the rest of the ballast is I need to run feeder wires still. Stay tuned for part two as well as several projects!
