The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. My fees and hours are on the "contact me" tab.

Scenes from the “new” layout…

Well, maybe not new layout, but perhaps new module! A lot of work put into the module today starting with cleaning all the track first off.

All the buildings I needed are in place now, along with all the fencing and trees I’m going to need. I still need to glue down some ground cover and ballast I had to put down.

What’s up next will be to weather up the remaining tanks in Allied Chemical, dirty up the scrapyard, weather up the dumpsters, and plant more weeds.

Hopefully I can eventually find all my vehicles and some more figures plus more of my power poles. Again, my last project will be to hopefully find an industrial backdrop scene. My goal is to make this module look like a70’s industrial area. For now, here are scenes from the module this evening:
