The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. Narrow gauge time….

It’s back to weathering some more narrow gauge equipment for a local modeler and friend, in this case, several Blackstone locomotives.

On this first one, I’ve faded the black paint., rusted up the couplers, sprayed a light grey over the drivers and pilot to simulate road dust, highlighted the smokebox with some gun metal paint, then weathered it, then dirtied up the body of the locomotive with a soot powder, including the stack. Not the best lighting here to see all of this , but hopefully some of the weathering shows in the photos below:
