The Weathering Depot

I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and family. I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums, sometimes three or four on a single car. I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I will also for an extra labor and parts charge change out couplers and wheels. Spring Creek Model Train Show….

I’ll be at the upcoming Spring Creek Model Train show the July 8th and 9th at the Thayer County Event Center in Deshler, Nebraska. I won’t be there as a vendor, but will have one of my weathered cars there for the store to display permanently plus plenty of business cards for those interested. It’ll be interesting in that my model represented was purchased from Spring Creek, my go-to shop for all model railroad supplies. Again, I highly recommend them. The model I will have there is shown below. The show is Spring Creek’s bi-annual train show, and the hours are Saturday: 9-5 and Sunday 10-4. We’ll see you there…..!
