The best finds of all are these original Walther’s DC locomotives. These were left to me by a dear friend I worked with at the original Caboose Hobbies who passed away in December 2020. There are two of the same type locomotives with different road numbers of course, purchased by my friend way back when, as you can tell by the price. Both were Milwaukee Road units, although this one shown I stripped the paint, repainted and weathered this for Penn Central and numbered as an ex PRR unit I used to see running around part of Cincinnati. These were based out of McCullough yard in Cincinnati, but I couldn’t find a decal for McCullough so applied Sharonville for Sharon yard in Cincinnati, at least to show these were based in the area. I’m going to finally paint the handrails and install them and someday hopefully have a DCC decoder installed. These are THE heaviest suckers I’ve ever seen!




The last photo shows an Intermountain hopper I thoroughly weathered and rusted up a few years ago. This guy will go up on eBay soon…
