Here we are on third trick last night as Jimmy, Charlie, and I are on 8806 switching out Monsanto along the Ohio River.

Because of the area industry tracks loaded up, this job is going to take quite awhile, tis why this will get in two parts. First, GP7 5628 is bringing in three tank cars for Monsanto:

Because of lack of track space to move around and the end of track, 5628 has to shove the tank cars down past the lead one car at a time for us to come out onto the main to grab them, as we also pull out the outbound cars one at a time.

What we need to do is to eventually move the current cars from the holding track to the loading/unloading track, then spot the inbound cars onto the holding track. Obviously a long night ahead. Sure glad we all brought a thermos of coffee along! Photos of the process of pulling the outbound cars follows:

Stay tuned for part two as we finish up by spotting the inbound cars….
